Case Study 1One client was only using tablets to record sales at an outdoor venue no cash was allowed. It was only after we processed their sales report that we discovered that the selling price for Beefeater gin was set to £1.45p instead of £5.50. Over this period this had cost the client £1,865. We uncovered this anomaly at the first stocktake saving them potentially thousands of pounds, therefore confirming that we offer a ‘high return on investment’.

Case Study 2One client was constantly showing a deficit in his wine and couldn’t understand why. Their serves of wine were 175ml. When Colum asked a staff member to demonstrate a pour when it was measured it turned out to be 210ml. We recommended that they purchased wine glasses with a discreet measuring line etched on them or wine jiggers to assist the bartenders. This solved the problem.

Case Study 3One client of a restaurant was also constantly showing a deficit in wines. After our investigation we realised that regularly wine being purchased at the table was not being included on the final bill. The owner put measures in place to ensure this would not happen again.
